Mental Health Clinical Lead
Permanent postion at 48 hrs per fortnight
Fixed Term position at 32 hrs per fortnight (potentional for extension)
Position can be combined or seperated with Full Time or Part Time hours
An exciting new opportunity exists for an experienced and motivated mental health clinician to join headspace Shepparton as the Clinical Lead. You will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and direction to the headspace team, and work with the General Manager to ensure the delivery of highly effective and responsive headspace services to young people in the Goulburn Valley.
To be successful in the role you will need to be:
A qualified Psychologist, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with significant clinical experience in the provision of mental health services
An innovative and committed professional with demonstrated knowledge and experience in service development, quality improvement and be adept at leading a multidisciplinary team
A proven track record in building and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
headspace is the National Youth Mental Health Foundation providing early intervention mental health services to 12-25-year olds. Our purpose is to build resilience of young people and the future potential of Australia by delivering effective youth mental health services in partnership with young people, their families and their local communities. headspace Shepparton is centrally located in the Shepparton CBD with excellent staff and client facilities.

Psychologists must have a minimum of 5 years clinical experience. Essential: Experience in service development and maintaining continuous quality improvement. Essential: Demonstrated experience in the leadership of multidisciplinary teams, including the provision of clinical supervision and the facilitation of clinical review and performance management processes. Essential: Proven track record in building and maintaining effective working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders. Essential: Experience in complex clinical triage, assessment and referral. Essential: Demonstrated experience and advanced clinical skills in managing young people at risk, including suicide and violence risks. Essential: Demonstrated experience in a range of mental health service settings. Essential: Tertiary level qualifications in mental health nursing or an allied health discipline including social work, psychology (clinical, counselling), or occupational therapy. Essential: Current full Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) registration or membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). Essential: A satisfactory National Criminal History Record Check, Victorian 'Employee' Working with Children Check and completion of a Commonwealth of Australia Statutory Declaration prior to commencement of employment.
