As part of headspace day on the 11th October 2018, headspace Armadale hosted a fun afternoon, the headspace Fiesta. This was a free community event promoting tips for a healthy headspace with the theme of adding a little colour to your day.

headspace Armadale was buzzing with people enjoying the afternoon. More than 60 people from the local community attended the fiesta which included young people (aged 12-25 years), children, parents/carers, service providers, and community members. There were plenty of free activities on offer including Henna tattoos, face painting, making smoothies in a blender bike, art workshop, colouring in the mural, board games, and more. Entertainment included Kane Boyatzis duo acoustic set to get the party started, following by DJ Bec Price. Young people even had the opportunity to learn about the decks and how to DJ with Bec Price's assistance. Special guests from Greyhound Adoption WA attended bringing along five furry guests who loved chilling out on the bean bags receiving countless pats and attention. There was plenty of food throughout the afternoon resembling the food of a children's birthday party to help bring out peoples inner child. However, there were a lot of healthy options on offer also. The event closed with the official launch of the video that headspace Armadale, the Arks Rugby Club and Arts vs Depression created, 'Tackling the Tough Stuff Together'. The video launch received an all round positive response.
