Groovin the Moo 2018 @ Maitland
Thousands of young music fans attended the annual Groovin the Moo festival at Maitland Showground on the 28th of April. With young people pouring into Maitland over the weekend, the festival was sure to go off with a bang. Not even the cloud threatening rains could keep these head bangers away.
As always, the headspace helpdesk was there to provide free water, a relax chill-out space and much needed heated warmth as the sun went down. Dedicated volunteers from headspace Maitland and headspace Newcastle were there to save the day to ensure that no one was without water - despite the slow streams at the most inconvenient times! Of course, music was blaring so loud that it kept our feet moving and heads bopping whilst listening to the likes of Paul Kelly, Tkay Maidza, Vera Blue and Alex Lahey (just to name a few).
The headspace helpdesk was the safe space for attendees, a chill out area where you get to take a breather or two in between music sets. Groovin the Moo is a whole-day music festival so it's important to look after yourself and each other, mentally and physically.
A HUGE thanks to headspace National to spearing this helpdesk and of course, this couldn't have happened without the amazing volunteers that helped make it a safe place for attendees.
