headspace Malvern offers young people aged 12-25 a welcoming environment where they can access confidential and free mental health support, health advice, and general information. We are an inclusive service and a safe space for all young people, family and friends.
How do I make an appointment?
To make an initial appointment or to speak to someone, please give us a call on (03) 9006 6550, or fill out our online form here. If you're not feeling up to contacting us yourself, feel free to ask your family, friend, teacher, doctor or someone else you trust to make the call with you.

headspace Malvern is operated by Access Health & Community. All headspace services are funded by the Australian Government Department of Health. Administration of funding is carried out by the headspace centre’s local Primary Health Network, in this case, SEMPHN.
If you live near our headspace centre in a rural area but cannot travel in to see us, you can see our mental health workers online.
GPs can help with any physical health issues as well as issues related to sexual health, drug or alcohol use, relationship problems or feeling down or upset. Your centre may have a GP on site or links to one locally.
Workers either on site or linked to the centre who can assist you with any alcohol or other drug concern.
Mental health workers – which may include psychologists, psychiatrists, counsellors and other workers – that can help if you're just not feeling yourself.
Sexual health screenings on site or links to local services.
Workers either on site or linked to the centre who can assist you with work or study opportunities.
headspace Malvern provides mental health support and counselling to young people aged 12-25, and their family, friends and carers.
We provide one-on-one counselling, group therapy programs, family therapy, and mental health promotion and education.
We have a number of services available including:
- Youth-friendly doctors (GPs)
- Drug and alcohol worker
- Family therapist
- Peer support worker
- Work and Study clinicians

Most of our services are free, and we will ensure that your privacy and confidentiality is maintained and respected.

Appointments are free with a Medicare card for young people aged 12-25. Appointments are available in-person, by phone or video.

We know that it can be overwhelming when using a new service for the first time. We have provided some information so you know what to expect in your first appointment.
In your first appointment, we will take the time to get to know you and hear your story. Your first visit may be in person, on the phone or by video.
At the first visit, you will:
- Complete a brief survey
- Talk to a headspace worker
- Be given the opportunity to share what's been impacting your wellbeing in different areas of your life
- Talk about goals you might want to work on
We will talk to you about important topics like your privacy, confidentiality, rights and responsibilities.
