recognizing early warning signs
As parents and carers, it's sometimes difficult to know the difference between usual adolescent behaviours or whether a young person many be experiencing a mental ill health. Family and friends play an important role in recognizing when something has changed and providing care and support. Starting a conversation about what you have noticed, letting them know you are there for them and figuring out the next steps together can really help navigate this often difficult time.
Join us to learn about some of the common signs of mental health distress, ideas on how to support your young person and how to take care of yourself during this often emotional time.
Take this opportunity to speak online with our e-headspace mental health clinicians and headspace National Family & Friends Reference Group.
Can't make it to the centre? Join in online: Thursday 10th March between 7-8pm AEDT. Click here to register for our session (and before the day to set a reminder for yourself if you want).
