Principal Coaching and Support Service
Alongside the highly rewarding work involved with school leadership, at times, Principals, Deputy Principals and school leaders are required to navigate stressful situations, such as leading the school through critical incidents, mindfully keeping an eye on the mental health of staff and students, manage challenging community dynamics and navigating difficult, confronting conversations.
The Principal Coaching and Support Service was created specifically for providing school leaders with a contextualised, independent and confidential support service, aimed at improving school leaders’ health and wellbeing through practices and philosophies of sustainability, collective care and resilience.
Funded by the Queensland Department of Education, this service offers school leaders in Queensland a non-judgmental, collegial space to have one-on-one supportive conversations, and equips them with the tools and strategies to support themselves, their staff and school during stressful times. It is a free service for all Queensland State School Principals, Deputy Principals and school leaders.
